LETTING GO OF NEGATIVITY

5/1/2016

Everyone is in this life has obstacles to overcome, hurt that we carry and feelings of self doubt.

At times we allow our negative feelings, thoughts and the negative opinions of others to control how we live our lives. We criticise ourselves more harshly than others possibly could. Often there are times we question the point of it all, when we feel so confined by the box we have put ourselves in.  This questioning is presenting you with an opportunity to consciously "let go".

To let go of self criticism, be willing to release the need to be unworthy.  Realise that you have created this condition and be willing to release the pattern in your consciousness that is responsible for the condition.

A practical exercise that can help you to "let go" -

Take a deep breath and as you exhale, allow all the tension to leave your body.
Feel as though a relaxing gentle wave of water moves down through your body and out through your feet.
When relaxed say to yourself,
" I am willing to let go.  I release all tension.  I release all fear.   I release all anger.  I release all guilt.  I release all sadness. I let go of old limitations. I let go and I am at peace. I am at peace with myself. I am at peace with life. I am safe".

This phrase is easy to remember and you can say it when you wake in the morning or before falling sleep.

Repeat 3 times a week and whenever you feel negative thoughts arising.
List all of the things you are willing to let go of and note the level of resistance to letting go of them.
This will give you an indication of how deeply entrenched in your belief system the thoughts are.

Beliefs do not have conditions attached.  It is easy to be centred and focussed - do not attached to the emotions swirling around.  Be in control of your emotions to see the big picture.

The greatest impact on how we are living our lives is how we react emotionally.

When we learn to control our emotional reactions and turn them into considered responses, we remain centred and calm and in control.
