This difficulty is created by your emotional body being in control and swamping you with extremes of emotion. Anger, fear, sadness can turn into anxiety, panic and illness.
When severe, you can fall into a sense of helplessness...hopelessness and become inert. Taking no action at all to help yourself.
When your emotional body becomes tired and frazzled, it becomes harder and harder to maintain a sense of equilibrium.
It can feel like you are swimming, being buffeted by the waves, pushed and pulled and sometimes, it can even feel as though you are drowning in your emotions.
To maintain an equilibrium, it is important to support and nuture yourself.
Day to day, take time to go into silence and set aside the concerns.
For one hour a day, don't allow life to impinge upon your inner landscape.
Enjoy what is good in your life, enjoy the blessings in your life for that hour and you will find that it reinforces your own energy and changes the way you interact.
If you are dealing with a stressful situation, sit and acknowledge that you know what the situation is, but for one hour you are not going to let it impinge on your consciousness.
It is vital to set aside one hour a day, plan around it and spend it with your children, a friend, family or alone, not talking or thinking about what to do or what might happen.
Create time and space in your day to bring your spiritual and physical self into balance, to do what you need to do.
Restructure your day if necessary and allocate time to your needs first. The priority is YOU.
Consider taking half an hour to walk around in a natural environment and enjoy this environment, strengthening and inhaling the energy or spend half an hour listening to music, reading, or exercising.
Be in the moment, enjoying that moment. PRACTICE - it makes it easier.
Establish a plan to create that one hour of space in your day so it becomes a routine which will in turn support your emotional body and enable it to settle. The more routine it becomes, the more your emotional body will settle.
When your emotional body is discombobulated, your mental body cannot function effectively.
When you are making decisions, it is beneficial to not be clouded by emotion, but to be thinking clearly. It is important to be able to step out of emotion and into your mental body.
It takes commitment to yourself to take this time, to create a plan and to ACT on it.
If ever you realise that you are floating around in a sea of emotion and are tired or doing so, look for a life raft from within, create the raft in your life, take that time to celebrate the good in your life in order to uplift and to support your energy and then you can create stability.
It is huge amount of hard work being controlled by your emotions and at some point, it is a good idea to change it.
Think to yourself every day, " I am releasing all care concern and worry about where I am. I am claiming success, joy and happiness in it's place." And so you shall.
